Weekend Wear

You'll see articles about what you should wear to work and still look stylish, an outfit for a special night out or suggestions for a special dress to wear during the holidays, but you don't get a lot of advice on what you should wear on your everday weekend. Some have a hard time differentiating comfortable with sloppy. Everyone wants more than just that favorite sweat suite and something more creative than just a t-shirt and jeans. You don't have to wear your baggy sweatpants out to stay comfortable. The key is to be comfortable while looking chic all at the same time. Now the question is, how do you accomplish that look?

I'll give you a couple of simple tips and outfits that anyone can put together. It's natural for most people to reach for their favorite baggy sweats when the weekend rolls around. But stop yourself right there and use these tips to put together a comfortable yet chic outfit that anyone can put together.

Some Tips:
- Remember to try and pick one piece that is more body conscious, opt for your favorite skinny jeans, fitted tees that you can layer, or a fitted jacket.

- Accesorize with a hat or a scarf to add some personal style to your outfit.

- Finish your look with a flat pair of boots or some flats

Trends to AVOID in 2008

Now that I've already gone over the 'hot' trends of 2007 and the new trends for 2007. I think it's important for me to touch on the trends from 2007 that should just be avoided all together.

1. Overly Loose Fitting Clothes
Clothes that are really loose not only make you look sloppy but you can't tell what's going on under there. Show off that body and find clothes that are made to flatter your figure!

2. Overall Shorts
If the celeb with a super fit body can't pull it off how are regular folks like us supposed to? It's just not that flattering so lets just shelf this trend.

3. Metallics
Although metallics were EVERYWHERE last year in a very big way. I think this trend just needs to be toned down a bit then you don't have to completely avoid it. Subtlety is key.

4. Crocs
These have to be the most hideous pair of shoes ever made! Unless you're wearing them to garden don't be seen with them on in public. They're just no flattering on ANYONE no matter how many colors they come in.

Never too Early or too Late for a Trench Coat

Trench's continue to be a wardrobe staple. The trench is a classic and looks good on any body type. The best part is that since it's a classic year after year you don't have to worry about having the one from last year or even buying one that's a season old. The trench coat is especially useful going into the Spring season. A perfect cover up for those days when you don't need a heavy coat but can't go without a jacket at all.

Rampage is fully stocked with trench coats. Not only do we have to classic colors but we've also just introduced a perfect yellow shade for the Spring!

Must Haves from 2007

Time Magazine has recently released their 10 'Must-Haves' of 2007. I agree with some and not so much with others. What do YOU think?? Let's all hope that trends for 2008 will be ones that we mostly love and make us look good! Here's the list with my feedback.

1. The Tent Dress- If it's not too potato sack like it can look some-what decent on. But for the most part this style is not flattering on most and it makes most look pregnant!

2. White Sunglasses- I never picked up on this trend, but that's mostly due to the fact that I happen to really love my oversized black ones along with my aviators.

3. High Waist Jeans- Another trend I'm on the fence about. Definitely can make a model look chic and stylish but again probably another trend that's not for everyone.

4. Day Clutches- YES! I've been a HUGE clutch fan for years.. I'm just glad that the fashion world agreed this year and came out with soo many cute ones! (Like our Rampage one below)

5. Ankle Boots- Nothing wrong with mixing up your boot collection with these ankle skimming booties.

6. Vests- Menswear inspired clothing is all the rage right now. Vests will give your outfit that little bit of spice that it needs!

7. Fedoras- Definitely a step up from your basic baseball cap. If you think you can pull it off, go for it!

8. Bright Tights- Personally I like my tights (and leggings) in neutral colors. I'll stick to the basics with black, white, or grey. I think the brightness can sometimes take away from your outfit.

9. Red Lipstick- You saw this look on all your favorite celebrities. Just make sure that your lipstick is cohesive with your outfit.

10. Cocktail Rings- Definitely another one of my favorites!! This small piece of jewelry can liven up your outfit and have people staring. Who knew such a small piece could make such a huge difference.
